Welcome to the course “Beyond Big Data - The case of digital agriculture.” This course is designed to help us understand the true potential of digital agriculture for the agriculture value chain. Specifically, the emphasis is laid out to understand the potential for technology interventions beyond data (or big data).
Steven Sonka a renowned agriculture economist with more than 3 decades of research and consulting focus on agritech interventions and their adoption is keen that we understand digital agriculture to be much more data. He provides the context and examples of digital technology possibilities and the interventions that combine the hardware, data and analytics capabilities improving the decision outcomes around productivity and profitability.
