Food Losses and Food Waste (MP)

Post Harvest Technology Innovations - Part 1 (FLWC)

Description
• Course Pitch
Considering the range of post harvest technology innovations that needed to be covered taking the entire value chain perspective into consideration we have divided this theme into two parts. This is the first of the two parts that uses food loss reduction as the core objective and covers different technology innovations that are being adopted along the entire value chain. Mr. Shubham Chandra the core expert is an innovative entrepreneur and investor in post-harvest technology interventions covers the following specific elements within the course:
--->The context of food losses along the entire food value chain in both established and emerging markets
--->The different technology innovations applicable for different products operating in varied environments and markets
--->The process of testing the technological effectiveness of a post-harvest technology intervention
--->Approach to testing the business effectiveness of post-harvest technology intervention

At the end of the course and the assessment you will be able to apply the technology interventions and contribute to food loss reduction within specific value chain context.

• Content & Assessment Guidelines
Please review the course outline below to set your expectations related to the content & certificate assessment needs for the course. You can complete the assessment and download Agribusiness Academy completion certificate. You can expect to complete this course and certification assessment in about 3-5 hours. We wish you a lot of success with the course/pathway and very sure that it will help you gain more clarity and execution confidence towards your outcome.

• Course & the Pathway Connection
This course can be pursued independently or as part of “Food Losses and Food Waste” learning & reflection pathway. The pathway is designed to help you understand the ways in which waste can be avoided and how to build new value propositions from waste streams. The objective of this pathway would be to introduce you to innovative value propositions around reducing and/or leveraging waste. The pathway takes a value chain approach to and hence can prove valuable no matter which link in the value chain you are connected with. If you choose to enroll in the pathway, you'll have the option to receive an extra certificate upon completing the reflection exercise for the pathway. Enrolling to the pathway also gives you access to our facilitators via the AA Slack channel. You can review and enroll to the full pathway by following this link: https://lms.agribusiness.academy/catalog/index/cat:186
