Climate Smart Agriculture (MP)

Carbon Farming - Opportunities and Challenges (CSAF)

Description
• Course Pitch
Carbon farming refers to sequestering and storing carbon and/or reducing greenhouse gas emissions at farm level. Carbon trading is a way to incentivise such projects through different payment methods and business models. It can deliver co-benefits to farmers and society, but also carries risks to be managed. In this course, we shall try and look at
- Opportunities and constraints for carbon farming
- Critical analysis for scaling up carbon farming that delivers robust climate mitigation
